Nick Criticos
Chief Executive Officer
Nick Criticos is Chief Executive Officer of BMO Real Estate Partners, a member of the board and executive committee. He joined the board on completion of the F&C/REIT merger in September 2008. Nick is also a member of the BMO Global Asset Management EMEA Group Management Committee. He was a previous board member of the Investment Management Association. Prior to the F&C/REIT merger Nick held the position of F&C's Head of UK Retail, Investment Trusts and Marketing. He joined F&C and the F&C Board following the ISIS Asset Management acquisition of RSA Investments in July 2002 where he held the position of Managing Director of the retail business. Prior to this he was CEO of Protea Life Company in South Africa. Nick holds a Business Science (honours) degree from the University of Cape Town and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries. He also completed the Advance Management Programme at Harvard in 1995.
Richard Kirby
Director, Property Funds
Richard Kirby is Director of Property Funds at BMO Real Estate Partners having joined in 1990. He became a member of the executive committee in August 2010. Richard is lead manager of the flagship F&C Commercial Property Trust, an investment trust domiciled in Guernsey with assets of approximately £1.2bn. He has been a fund manager since 1995 initially with responsibility for Friends Provident unitised funds and then for the retail assets across client portfolios. Responsibilities include advising on and implementing on portfolio strategy, sales, acquisitions, asset enhancement and management. Prior to joining BMO Real Estate Partners, Richard gained experience in professional practice and an investment agency. Richard is a chartered surveyor.
Angus Henderson
Head of Business Development
Angus is Head of Business Development within BMO Real Estate Partners and became a member of the executive committee in March 2017. Angus joined the company in July 2009 and leads the business development team responsible for targeting new business opportunities, working with new partners and the launch of new structures. He works across the platform focusing on the growth of the existing product range as well as new products and joint ventures and with a diverse investor base. Angus joined from AXA REIM, one of the largest real estate managers globally, where he worked as a Business Development Manager responsible for launching new products in Europe and Asia across the risk spectrum and all sectors. He worked across the group on a number of successful product launches. Angus holds an MBA from INSEAD and an MA in Economics from The University of Edinburgh.
Iris Schöberl
Managing Director, BMO Real Estate Partners Germany
Iris Schöberl is the Managing Director of BMO Real Estate Partners GmbH & Co. KG as well as a member of the firm's Executive Committee and its Investment Committee for Germany and Europe. In January of 2000, Ms Schöberl founded the predecessor company REIT Asset Management GmbH Germany; this was merged into the Real Estate division of F&C Asset Management plc in 2008, which in turn was acquired by the Bank of Montreal (BMO) in 2014. Ms Schöberl has over 30 years experience in the real estate sector. Prior to founding REIT Asset Management GmbH Germany, she held the position of Director at Hypovereinsbank's Real Estate Financing Division. Ms Schöberl currently holds a number of additional posts: Supervisory Board Member of the real estate developer ECE Projektmanagement G.m.b.H. & Co. KG (since 2012); Chair of the "Commerce" committee of the German Property Federation/ZIA (since 2013); founding member of the association Frauen in der Immobilienwirtschaft ("Women in Real Estate", www.immo-frauen.de), of which she presently serves as spokesperson of its Regional Board for Southern Germany (since May 2014).
Ian Kelley
Fund Director Europe and Head of France
Ian is Fund Director Europe & Head of France within BMO Real Estate Partners and became a member of the executive committee in March 2017. Ian is responsible for developing our business in France and across Europe, to complement the current platform. He supports BMO REP’s strategy in Europe, which includes developing new cross-border, pan-European “core / core+” funds for institutional clients as well as “Value-Add” club-deals for private wealth clients. Ian has over 18 years of experience in the European real estate market, of which over 10 years were with CBRE Global Investors where he co-launched several pan-European funds with a market value totalling over €2.5 billion. Ian is French-American and studied at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, followed by post-graduate studies at Columbia University and Harvard Business School.

BMO Real Estate Partners Germany is a leading German company specialising in real estate asset management with a focus on retail, residential and office properties. We currently manage a portfolio with more than 260 properties worth over €2.6 billion, primarily in medium and large cities throughout Germany (as at 31/03/2018).

We have got a dynamic company history, marked by steady annual growth. Under the name of REIT Asset Management, we started off as an owner-operated investment boutique. Only a few years later the small family office evolved into a serious player in all international real estate markets.

One milestone in the company’s history was the 4th of September 2008 as it was the official announcement of the merger between the UK-based F&C Investments and REIT Asset Management. Under the name of F&C REIT Asset Management, one of the most powerful and experienced property managers in Europe was born, bringing German institutional investors additional access to our platform and our products. Fund Management

BMO Real Estate Partners offers the entire range of property fund management services. We have successfully been managing closed-end funds for more than 16 years and since 2010, also German Special Fund “Spezialfonds” in accordance with the German Investment Act. The structuring of investment vehicles and the implementation of appropriate business models in conjunction with a customised and transparent reporting system enable us to generate above-average returns – and steadily strengthen the investors’ confidence in our products.

Thomas Hübner (Head of Investment)

Thomas Hübner heads the Investment Team at BMO Real Estate Partners Germany and is a member of the German Investment Committee. Mr Hübner has overall responsibility for all business transactions at BMO Real Estate Partners Germany.

After graduating from EBS Business School with a degree in Real Estate Economics, Mr Hübner began working in the commercial real estate sector in 1990. He has held managerial positions at Philipp Holzmann Bauprojekt AG, at DG Immobilien Management and at Bülow AG. Over the course of his 25-year track record, Mr Hübner has handled transactions with a total volume of roughly €8.5 billion.

Vincent Frommel (Head of Fund Management / Finance)

Vincent Frommel heads the Fund Management / Finance team of BMO Real Estate Partners Germany and is a member of the German Investment Committee.

With a degree in architecture, Mr Frommel has been active in the real estate sector for over 25 years now, a period in which he has accumulated extensive experience with real estate development projects (e.g. at Hochtief Projektentwicklung GmbH and at Bilfinger & Berger Projektenwicklung GmbH). His core focus has been on asset management since 2003, when he took charge of the real estate portfolio of Freiberger Immobilienmanagement as Managing Director. Thus far, Mr Frommel has overseen property development and conversion projects with a total volume of over €1 billion.

Iris Schöberl (Managing Director Germany & Head Institutional Clients)

Iris Schöberl, Geschäftsführerin der BMO Real Estate Partners GmbH & Co. KG, Mitglied des BMO Real Estate Partners Executive Committees sowie des Investmentkomitees der BMO Real Estate Partners Deutschland und Europa. Im Januar 2000 gründete Frau Schöberl die Vor-Gesellschaft REIT Asset Management GmbH Deutschland, welche im Jahr 2008 mit dem Immobilienbereich von F&C verschmolzen und 2014 von der Bank of Montreal (BMO) erworben wurde.

Frau Schöberl hat über 30 Jahre Erfahrung in der Immobilienwirtschaft. Vor der Gründung von REIT Asset Management (heute BMO Real Estate Partners) war sie bei der HypoVereinsbank im Bereich Immobilienfinanzierung als Direktorin tätig. Darüber hinaus ist Frau Schöberl seit 2012 ECE Beiratsmitglied, seit 2013 Vorsitzende des ZIA Ausschusses „Handel“, seit Mai 2014 Sprecherin des Regionalvorstands Süd sowie Gründungsmitglied des Vereins „Frauen in der Immobilienwirtschaft“ (www.immo-frauen.de ).

Thomas Hübner (Head of Investment)

Thomas Hübner, Leiter des Investment Teams und Mitglied des Investmentkomitees der BMO Real Estate Partners Deutschland. Herr Hübner trägt die Verantwortung für alle Transaktionen bei BMO Real Estate Partners Deutschland.

Der Immobilienökonom (ebs) ist seit 1990 im gewerblichen Immobilienbereich tätig und hatte u.a. in Führungspositionen bei Philipp Holzmann Bauprojekt AG, DG Immobilien Management und Bülow AG inne. In seiner über 25-jährigen Laufbahn begleitete er Transaktionen mit einem Volumen in Höhe von rund 8,5 Mrd. EUR.

Vincent Frommel (Head of Fund Management | Finance)

Vincent Frommel, ist Leiter des Fund Management | Finance und Mitglied des Investmentkomitees der BMO Real Estate Partners Deutschland.

Herr Frommel ist ausgebildeter Architekt und seit über 25 Jahren in der Immobilienbranche tätig. Er verfügt über langjährige Erfahrung in der Immobilienprojektentwicklung (u.a. bei der Hochtief Projektentwicklung GmbH sowie Bilfinger & Berger Projektentwicklung GmbH). Seit dem Jahr 2003, in dem er als Geschäftsführer die Verwaltung des Immobilienvermögens der Freiberger Immobilienmanagement übernahm, liegt seine Kernkompetenz im Bereich Asset Management. Zum heutigen Zeitpunkt hat Herr Frommel über 1,0 Mrd. EUR Volumina an Projektentwicklungen / -umbauten durchgeführt.

BMO Real Estate Partners opened its French branch in May 2015 with the creation of a new office in Paris.

The Paris office is responsible for developing BMO Real Estate Partners business in France and across Europe to complement the current platform in the UK and Germany.

BMO Real Estate Partners Paris office currently has approximately €700m AUM invested in capital cities across France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic.

BMO Real Estate Partners specializes in niche investment strategies with exposure to the pan-European commercial real estate sectors and reflecting the most attractive opportunities within current market conditions. Our aim is to deliver above average returns to all of our clients whom are mainly local authority pension schemes, corporate pensions and insurance companies. Ian has 20 years of experience in the European real estate market, of which over 10 years were with CBRE Global Investors where he co-launched several pan-European funds with a market value totalling over €2.5 billion.

Before joining CBRE, Ian gained expertise in retail and office development at Unibail-Rodamco and Bouygues Immobilier. Before that, Ian worked at Polo Ralph Lauren where he was responsible for retail development across Europe.

Ian is French-American and studied at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, followed by post-graduate studies at Columbia University and Harvard Business School.

Adrien joined the Paris office in October 2015 as European Portfolio Manager to support the development of the pan European platform and has over 14 years of experience in the industry.

Prior to joining BMO REP, Adrien was Portfolio Manager at CBRE Global Investors in Paris and London, Head of Assets for the PEC fund (Pan European Core fund), managing over €1 billion in 7 countries.

Prior to that, Adrien was responsible for the Deka Immobilien office portfolio in France (14 prime assets with a market value of €1.5 billion).
